Another month is over which means it’s time for another wrap up! August has been a pretty big blogging month for me, despite only reading two books. I had aimed for three but got caught up in life, which is totally okay. I took part in weekly memes, went to blogging events, participate in my first blog tour, and even reached my first milestone! September and the rest of 2017 is also shaping up to be an exciting bookish month on my blog, so I’ll fill you in with what’s happened and what’s on the horizon.
I reached 100 followers in August, which is my first blog milestone! It doesn’t seem like much, but I’m pretty happy with how my blog has grown around my busy third year at university. I was also nominated for my first blogger award which I was so happy about, and I even have two more to do in the next week or so. I’ve had so much fun interacting with some of my favourite blogs, so thanks everyone!
Blogging Events and Moments
- BLOG TOUR: Love at the Italian Lake by Darcie Boleyn Blog Spotlight
- An Interactive Workshop at Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Wardrobe Department
- Lush Plymouth Blogger Event: Summer Collection
- The Sunshine Blogger Award
Of course there were many other posts on my blog. I worked really hard to keep up a regular schedule and post more this month. I took part in tags, Top 5 Tuesday, reviewed a theatre trip and talked about my classic movie education. I’m hoping to keep this up in September, but graduate job hunting is pretty hectic so we’ll see how that goes!
What’s next for A Redhead’s Rambling?
I’m so excited to be working with a publisher as a reviewer. My first book should be arriving shortly, so I can’t wait to share more with you when that happens. I’ve also been approved for two Netgalley books, both of which are completely different. I can’t wait to get reading more and bring you new content on my blog.
So, that’s it for August. I’m nervous about keeping up a good schedule with all these bookish and blogging responsibilities, but I’m excited to throw myself into the community again.
Bring on September and as usual, happy reading!
