I finally broke my reading slump and returned to blogging in June so it’s time for a positive monthly wrap up! After nearly two months of not reading and a month without blogging I’m so glad to be back. I broke my slump with an incredible book which really took me by surprise and I slowly started writing posts again. I’ve also got a sign up announcement to make, so let’s get started.
There’s Someone Inside Your House – Stephanie Perkins
I’m not usually a thriller person but, boy, did I fall in love with this book. This is such an exciting book which gripped me from beginning to end. I loved all the aspects, from the cute YA moments to the murders. Check out my review if you want to know what I thought!
TV – Friday Night Dinner
Last month I was loving Friday Night Dinner, a UK comedy show about a Jewish family’s weekly dinner. It’s always interrupted with hilarious moments where everything goes wrong. Their encounters with their strange neighbour, Jim, and his dog, Wilson, are always my favourites.
Wax Melts – Oh So Smelly Bubblegum Cluster
In June I tried Oh So Smelly, a wax vendor who makes beautiful creations. My order was so pretty and smelled incredible. My favourite has to be the bubblegum cluster. Not only is it an amazing design, it smells just like my favourite sweets, too.
Discussion Challenge Sign-Up
As I was scrolling through Twitter I came across a post mentioning the Discussion Challenge and I was intrigued. I’ve been thinking of discussion ideas and mentally planning posts for so long now but I’ve never actually got round to writing any. I decided that signing up to this challenge might finally encourage me to share my ideas with you guys! The challenge is hosed by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight and is open all year round and is really relaxed which is perfect for me.
So even though June wasn’t a busy blogging or reading month, I’m still pleased. I thought my reading slump and blogging break would never end so I’m glad I broke the spell! I have so many interesting post ideas, including some really fun and unique content, so I can’t wait for July.
