My Monthly Me

My Monthly Me – July 2018

Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of My Monthly Me

July was another busy month which meant my reading and blogging took a back seat and not a lot was done. I did, however, have a really fun month anyway. The school I work at broke up for summer which means I have six weeks of holiday! I have so much planned for that time and I’m hoping my blog will grow from it. This week’s monthly catch up is less of a wrap up and focuses more on my August goals instead.

Books Read:

The Oberon Book of Queer Monologues edited by Scottee

I was fortunate enough to have been sent a copy of this collection of monologues to review by Oberon Books. It was a wonderful insight into LGBT+ theatre and a great read. Check out my review here.

July Favourites:

Netflix – This month on Netflix I’ve been loving Brooklyn 99! I spent my first week off work catching up on sleep and binging this show, and it was totally worth it.

Wax Melt – Throughout July I’ve been melting this gorgeous box of wax melt donuts from BB’s Wax Melts. They smell amazing and I am obsessed.

Cinema Release – Of course my favourite film release has to be The Incredibles 2! I waited 14 long years for the sequel and it was better than I ever could have imagined. I adored the film and I can’t wait for the DVD already!

August Goals:

  1. Blog regularly

After a really busy June and July saw my blog suffer big time, I’m hoping to be more consistent in August by posting at least twice a week.

  1. Read more

I’ve been in a never ending reading slump for weeks now. Despite racing through There’s Someone Inside Your House this month, I’m back in my slump and it sucks! I’ve even put down two books half way through. I’m hoping with more time on my hands I’ll be able to read again.

  1. Follower milestone

Now I currently need 26 new followers to reach my next big milestone, which I definitely don’t think will happen in a single month. I do really hope that I can discover some fantastic blogs in August though and hopefully boost my followers in turn.

  1. Interact with bloggers and make friends

I’ve now been blogging for a year and a half and I’m yet to really speak to any bloggers. I’d love to make some friends from this wonderful hobby as I know I have some amazing mutuals. I’m working on growing my Twitter to include more bookish followers and fun so feel free to follow me over there, @erincrisppp. And don’t be afraid to say hi!

  1. Have fun!

My most important goal for August is to have fun. After a really busy few months I’m looking to relax and get my mojo back. It’s been tough but I’m already enjoying my holiday. I’m hoping I finally get my blogging passion back and have a fabulous month, online and in my personal life.

Happy reading!
